Best design agencies for AI interfaces: who can draw the new patterns

An AI interface is not a normal interface with a chat box added. It has four problems no deterministic product ever had, and the design patterns for them are still being invented. This list ranks agencies by one question: can they draw the new patterns, with shipped work as proof? We covered the [full field of AI product design agencies](/blog/best-ux-design-agencies-ai-products-2026) already. This post goes narrower and deeper: interfaces specifically. ## The four patterns that define AI interface work **Streaming.** Output arrives over seconds, not instantly. The design decides whether that wait feels alive or broken. Good streaming design shows structure early, fills progressively, and never leaves the user staring at a blank box. **Uncertainty.** The model might be wrong and the user has to be able to tell. Confidence display without false precision is genuinely hard. Overclaim and users get burned. Underclaim and they ignore the product. **Agent progress.** When AI does multi-minute work, the interface has to narrate it honestly: what is happening, how long it takes, what came out. We wrote a full analysis of this in [our agent UX piece](/blog/agent-ux-2026). Progress design is the difference between trust and abandonment. **Correction.** The model missed. Now what? The best AI interfaces make correction feel like steering instead of failure: edit the prompt, adjust the output, mark the miss so the system learns. Every agency below is judged against these four. #
